Outdoor Learning!


The students at Sutherland were out and about today! 6th grade science students in Mr. Collier's class were studying the watershed at Powell Creek...and did a bit of stumbling along the way! 7th graders in Mr. Crow's engineering class were testing out their compressed air rockets! 7th grade students in Mr. Taylor's and Mrs. Shifflett's PE classes were showing off their football skills! Food Drive for Food Bank

Sutherland is collecting food for the Food Bank! Please bring in canned food to drop in the large cans outside each grade level wing. We will be collecting food until March 4. Remember that Spirit Week is coming up! Here is the schedule: Monday : Crazy Hair Day Tuesday : Jersey Day Wednesday : Hippie Day Thursday : Black Out Day There will be a pep rally on that Thursday, the 30th. Remember that Friday is off!

7th Grade Cell Analogy Projects

Students in 7th grade science have finished working on their cell analogy projects.  They had the choice of 5 different projects or the option to create their own project.  The students were very creative in developing all different types of projects including a rap music video, a Mine Craft map, a play mobile airport, movie of a One Direction concert, and a cell game.  Here are just some of the projects created by the students.
