5K run

Sutherland had its annual 5K run Thursday the 26 for students with PE on black days, and will have it on Tuesday the 8 for students with teal day PE. The students will or have run the 3.1 miles at their own pace, but the top finishers are awarded prizes, and all students are entered into a raffle drawing. The PE teachers are still asking for donations for prizes, so support the school and donate a prize for the 5k.

Food Drive for Food Bank

Sutherland is collecting food for the Food Bank! Please bring in canned food to drop in the large cans outside each grade level wing. We will be collecting food until March 4. Remember that Spirit Week is coming up! Here is the schedule: Monday : Crazy Hair Day Tuesday : Jersey Day Wednesday : Hippie Day Thursday : Black Out Day There will be a pep rally on that Thursday, the 30th. Remember that Friday is off!

7th Grade Cell Analogy Projects

Students in 7th grade science have finished working on their cell analogy projects.  They had the choice of 5 different projects or the option to create their own project.  The students were very creative in developing all different types of projects including a rap music video, a Mine Craft map, a play mobile airport, movie of a One Direction concert, and a cell game.  Here are just some of the projects created by the students.
